Is it normal to be this stressed over missing an assignment?
My school has gone into a system called intervention, a system where if you miss a single assignment, you will be sent to a 2-week long program to spend half of your lunch in a classroom, even after finishing the assignment you missed on the very first day of this program. I now have the very first threat to my safety, i do not have a lab-writeup done and do not have the materials i need to complete it, i asked the teacher yesterday for an extra day, which i was given, i have already explained my situation to him and he understood, now it seems like I'm using his patience and i wouldn't like to do that again... i doubt i would get another try at this, point is, I'm overly stressing over this small assignment, and missing 30 minutes of lunch each day, possibly losing my off-campus privileges for the rest of the semester... This program is over-stressing students school-locale, normally quiet and compliant students are talking back to teachers through anger and hate, from stress... this program is tearing my school apart... but even in this situation, i would like to know if my stress is necessary, is it normal to stress over a single assignment?
