Is it normal to be tired by 2pm if you wake up at 5:45am?

My diet is pretty much the same from week to week.

Breakfast: 7am or 7:30am. Cottage cheese with a fruit such as peaches or pineapple. At 6am I always have a glass of chocolate milk before my morning walk/jog. I read that chocolate milk is the best post recovery drink. I exercise longer when I drink it as well. By the time I'm done with my jog/walk around 7am I cook my breakfast. It could be anything from veggies such as carrots with cream cheese (1 serving of each) or it could be a bowl of high fiber cereal or french toast (high in protein due to eggs) or once in a while (once a month) I'll make biscuits and gravy.

Brunch: This is 10am. Fiber 1 brownies the double chocolate or lemon or mint chocolate - doesn't matter since they are all 90 calories and 5 grams of fiber each.

Lunch: Lunch time for me is always 11am or 11:30am most days unless I'm running errands - then I must eat lunch at 10:30am and "eat rushed" which I HATE doing. Or I may have a late lunch (again if running errands) and have it around 3pm. I hate eating lunch at 3pm. I eat at least 2 or 3 BLT's a week for lunch. But I don't use real bacon, I have turkey bacon and I add in healthy fat from avocado (1/2 of avocado is all I eat since 1 full avocado is 5 servings). I add in thousand island dressing and I measure everything (I count calories).

After I'm done with lunch I have consumed around 800 - 1,000 calories.

Dinner is 5pm or 6pm and my dinner is small. Since my breakfast is anywhere from 350 calories (low side) up to 475 (the high side) I make my lunch 350 - 400 calories and my dinner is usually <<<no more than 300 calories>>>>. I like to high a higher calorie intake in the morning so I can burn it off as the day goes on.

<<<I don't eat after 7pm and I got to bed at 10pm sharp>>>>. I also don't get hungry after 7pm. I get about 20-25 grams of fiber each day. I also eat beans, but not every day. I know I'm eating right since I have gas and gas is good. It just makes people wonder what you are eating and what your problem is if you are near people. I get 7 hours of sleep each night and I wake up around 5:40am daily. I'm out of bed in 10 minutes. I have no problem getting out of bed in the mornings. I have a surge of energy in the morning. So I'm thinking due to this - it can't be a thyroid problem such as low thyroid. Usually people with hypothyroidism are very tired in the morning. I'm not. Chronic Fagtigue Syndrome also makes people tired - in the morning.

I'm obese, not overweight. A person that is 50 pounds "overweight" is medically considered obese. I don't take any medication except Singular for my sinus issues. I use Bipap everyday (My AHI is 10 without using any xpap). If you don't know what Bipap or CPAP is, it is for people with sleep apnea. I have mild sleep apnea and since using xpap in 2013 my energy has gone sky high. (I used to take naps daily, now I only take naps for 4 days before my period). I'm a female and before my period (up to 7 days before my period) I get extremely tired tired tired. I fight the urge to nap. I don't nap until 3-4 days before I start. More tired than what I am talking about in this post.

I don't eat a high sugary lunch. My lunch is usually full of protein and good fats (nuts, avocado) and seeds and grains. Sometimes I have fruit and I know fruit has natural sugar in it. I know sugar will make one tired. I take vitamin D and I do notice a slight change in energy when I do NOT forget to take it in the morning.

I just started to take Coq10 again today (after not taking it for 5 months). I read that Coq10 helps with energy. I also added in Green Tea Extract again (after not taking it for 7 months). It seems that my tiredness is random. Some days I'm really tired at 1pm. Some days I'm really tired at 3pm. Somedays it comes at 12pm. Aside from my cycle - most days I'm only tired in the afternoon and I seem to get a burst of energy between 5pm-7pm. Right now it is just after 1pm and I can tell my mental fogginess is coming in, but I don't feel tired yet.

tt is only in the afternoon and I don't understand what is making me so freaking tired in the afternoon. If I had a high sugar diet then I'd tell myself "No wonder you are so tired". I don't crash after lunch. It is more of a mental dullness after lunch and my energy is lower and slower and I don't nap after lunch. I don't know if anyone else notices it, but I notice it. Just as long as the important people in my life don't take notice.

I do. I get out of bed at 5:45am and by 6:30am I am outside - jalking. Yes Jalking. I walk/jog. I jog for 30 seconds and then walk for 1 minute. Jog for 30 seconds, walk for 2 minutes, jog for 30 seconds, walk for 1 minute. It goes on like this until I'm done with my route. My route takes me about 25 minutes if I jog more, 30 if I walk more. It is way too hot to walk at 12noon or even 4pm. I don't live in New York or South Dakota. It's hot by the time 10am so I get out the door before the sun comes up and I'm done just as the sun comes up. If I was in New York or Milwaukee I'd have no issue with walking at 1pm. Oh wait. This is March. It snows in March in Northwestern Indiana. I know. I used to live in Indiana for out of state college.

You don't have to freaking yell. If you hate it so much, why not write your own question why you think it is so disgusting. If you hate it so much, why are you talking about it? Why even mention it if it makes your skin crawl? Makes sense to me since you are so stuck on cottage cheese when my post was on being tired. . My post had nothing to do with cottage cheese It was just one thing I eat and I don't even have it every day. The cottage cheese thing is more about you and less about me.

Also, I found out as long as I have CoQ10 and as long as I have 100mg of that stuff each day at 8am, I'm not tired at 2pm. Your comment is completely off track and I think you are a troll or may be you are a bored teenager or something.

Let me pull a catfishhead for you. CILANTRO IS DISGUSTING. There, I just did what you did. I made a comment that has nothing to do with the topic of my question.

Um, either way you call it, post recovery drink or pre-recovery drink it does not matter. What matters is that you can drink it before your workout or after your workout. It is the best drink period if you want your muscles to get the carbs and protein you need to work out more. go to: http://www.menshealth.com/healthytips/use-listerine.php It is number one on this list of helpful tips.

I just read that three tablespoons of honey before a workout works just as good as a sports drink. I'm game. I put honey in my tea.

Post recovery means after, not before.

Yep I know this. I watched a wonderful show on The Science Channel (It could have been Discovery, not sure) where they had two athletes run and do the exact same exercise like lifting weights on a beach. One had chocolate milk BEFORE the workout. The other - didn't. The result? The one that has the chocolate milk BEFORE the workout (they both lifted weights on the beach and ran for some time) was able to endure more and lift more weight for a longer period of time. The host of the show didn't tell Guy B that Guy A had any chocolate milk before the challenge. Guy B just thought it was a regular challenge. After the challenge was done, the host told Guy B that Guy A was given certain instructions. May be some of the other readers of this will know (if they watched this show, I don't remember the name of the show) the one man was black and the other was white. One of them was to drink chocolate milk BEFORE the workout. The other thing he was told was to go into the cold ocean water. I don't care what you call it. Post workout drink. Pre-workout drink. Either way you cut it, fancy label it what you want. Chocolate milk has been proven to be best drink to have BEFORE a workout. Even better than those Gatorade drinks. It has the perfect blend of vitamins and minerals. It says on Patch.com "One of the best pre workout drinks is good old low fat chocolate milk. It has all the things the body needs for a good start and also after a vigorous work out the body craves sugar, but it still needs protein. If you opt for a protein shake look for a protein without all of the extra supplements added. Our body can only process and absorb approximately 20 grams of protein at one time regardless of what your daily needs are. The body is full of receptors for everything from testosterone to pain; they can only receive so much before they shut down."

Not my words. I went to Patch.com to find this information. It seems that both of us are correct though since I've read that the same exact milk after a workout does good too. But I'm not going to drink it before and after a workout. Before is enough for me. here is the link http://patch.com/pennsylvania/limerick/bp--the-best-pre-workout-drink-chocolate-milk

I saw this show around March 5th so ever since then I've been drinking chocolate milk before my workout. I've noticed a difference - but I've also been walking for sometime and my body needed some kind of change and more of a challenge.

Alright, I'm just saying. I was a little confused if you were trying to say you drank it before or after
