Is it normal to be turned off by girls gaming?

I'm a guy who doesn't play video games, and if I hear about a girl playing War of Warcraft or any kind of gaming it tends to turn me off from her, I always think it's funny that guys can think it's "sexy" when an attractive girl plays video games, I always make fun of them.

Is this just a matter of being attracted to someone with similar interests and the inverse of that?

    no you just associate games with dudes cause that's who most of us see playing them...and you associate world of warcraft with huge douche bags because again...that's who you see playing it

    I am a female gamer and there is nothing wrong with it. World of Warcraft is totally gay and I'd understand why guys would get turned off by it, I'm turned off by guys who play it. As long as people go out more then play video games I dont think there is a problem with it.

    I like girls who game. Or geeky girls in general. They're much more interesting than girls who only care about shoes and walking around with a tiny dog in their handbag.

    Plus, geeks are kind of sexy.

    the girls just won't fucking quit pretending to be guys and making boy name accounts like "soldier brian 123" when in reality they're a pig tailed girl. something about it just pisses me off and they keep changing accounts and even going so far as to have their friends refer to them as a fake first name like "nick". i just end up having to kill every single team mate to be sure.

    Since you don't like them either, it's probably an interest thing. You would have a better relationship with one who wasn't so interested in games; that's normal. The 'making fun of them part' is meh though; people have their interests, and you have your's.

    Likewise, my boyfriend and I both game and love that we both have solid interest in that. The funny thing is, we also play WoW. We both enjoy just hanging out with friends on there and watching the antics in chat. That's our cup of tea, and we don't expect other peeps to also have it.

    I love gaming, I think it is good fun to play computer games but I love all sorts of games, card games (including poker), board games etc etc. If you don't like gaming that's ok, it obviously doesn't interest you as a hobby so it makes sense that any girls into gaming would also bore you.

    Haha you remind me of the dudes that try to troll me when I play cod mw2 on xbox live. They all think I must be a fat dyke with no life just because I play games.

    Whatever floats your boat though dude. My boyfriend likes it so you should find a girl by your preferences too.
