Is it normal to be uneasy towards corners?

I’m not sure why, but ever since I was in my early teens, if my eye saw a corner of a table or dresser, etc., I would wince and pull back. This has caused me to blink/wince in random scenarios if I even imagine a corner close to me. Not really a fear, but more of an unsettled feeling near corners (especially if my eyes are close by). Is that justified and normal or kind of just weird?

It's not something I've heard of before, but agree with Gabloo that maybe it stemmed from childhood and you had some bad experiences with corners.

In a way, it makes sense that the thought of your eyes being near a corner, since corners are usually somewhat sharp or pointy, would induce some fear, though.

i would like to confirm it being that, if it weren’t for the fact that my memory tends to mislead me much of the time. in reality i probably did end up smashing my eye on my bedside end table.

The corners are your friend, they will not harm you. Become one with them on your next experience.
