I haven't made many close friends, I'm very alone and I feel like I have no place at school. The academics are fine, I just feel like such a loser and it's so hard to socialize with people or find those with similar interests.
It's only a short part of your life, so enjoy having time to study without a bunch of distractions. One way to meet people might be to join one of the many extracurricular clubs at the school. I bet alot of the kids who join them are also looking for new friends.
Create your own vibe and have an awesome aura that lures people to you.
Do your own thing and be confident. Don't follow the sheep, be the sheppard.
Friends make a huge difference. I liked my classes, but had trouble with social skills in college. Parties are an easy first step. Drink moderately but act drunker than you really are. Share your animal impulses with other partiers.
You can join a club, or try reaching out and getting to know your classmates.
Honestly I used to think that I was awkward or something or maybe people just didnt like me but after making a loooot of friends I personally found that I just dont like talking a lot and maybe thats the same way you are, go find some people that do the same thing as you and keep doing things with em till its easier to talk to em and then youll meet some of there friends and all of a sudden you have a big group of friends
I had more fun in high school and more fun AFTER college. College was lame and overrated for me. My life didn't get very fun until I was 23.
ah, I remember that feeling.. still feeling it haha
Join some stuff, it would help get you out of your comfort zone and your bound to make a friend. I only have one close friend whom I met at a bball game, the rest are just people I sit next to in class. Cheer up ;)
