Is it normal to belief in aliens?

Is it normal to believe in aliens? I was raised in christian beliefs, but for the past 3 years I truly belief that other things are happening out there that we're not being told. Am I paranoid or is it normal to believe in other beings?

Not only is it normal to believe in Aliens, it's almost arrogant not to.

Consider this: Every star (that's about 70 sextillion: 70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 that we've counted. But that's only so far, and we discover more every day) has a "habitable" zone, in which a planet could orbit and sustain life. It's not known how many of those stars have planets orbiting them. But with 70,00,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars that could have planets around them, don't you think at least one has also developed life? It's statistically highly improbable that there isn't another planet with life on it.

Yeah. Personally, I think they are just watching us like "LOL WTF they are still using fossil fuels and eating dead animals? And wtf they are all killing eachother! WTF is wrong with this planet!?"

There's this whole thing called the Drake Equation, which roughly calculates the probability of life existing on other planets, using:
the average rate of star formation per year in our galaxy
the fraction of those stars that have planets
the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets
the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life at some point
the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent life
the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space
the length of time for which such civilizations release detectable signals into space

Scientifically, it's probable given the amount of stars and planets out there.

I don't believe they've ever come to Earth, and I'm skeptical if any are even at a level of technological advancement to the point where they could.

But believing they exist? I think that's pretty normal.

    I BELIEF! DO YOU BELIEF?

The most disturbing unknown in the Drake Equation is the length of time a civilisation releases detectable signals. If we go by the most conservative estimates of all the terms, it means that it's almost inevitable for a civilisation to destroy itself after only a few centuries.

Couldn't have said it better. I don't know if we will ever discover any other life in the universe, but it's likely they're out there somewhere.

I personally think it's normal and quite fine.

I don't think it contradicts Christianity. Yes we're use to thinking about what Christ did on this planet but... hey who's to say that God didn't make other planets too, and have Christ go there as well?

If the aliens invade, I wonder if they'll try to push their version of the bible down our throats?

Yes, I think that's normal. I remember reading something about alien life that I thought was somewhat intriguing.

It's said that we don't come into contact with any aliens because sentient life forms rarely make it to a space exploration stage. They say that they usually destroy their environments and civilizations before they could work out space travel more often than not.

Yes it's normal to believe their is more things out there. theirs a movie i forgot the name but its about aliens and how they take people do stuff to them.

As for the drake equation aforementioned, I think it predicts something like 50,000 or 5,000 intelligent extraterrestrial life forms in our galaxy.
If that's true you've gotta wonder why they're all so bloody silent really.

Probably because they don't want anything to do with us, or most likely aren't aware we exist. We're living on a grain of sand in a desert, we're not exactly unique when viewed from millions of light years away.

Ot: People that think that we're the only ones here really need to get a grip on how indescribably big the universe is.

I would say it is illogical to suggest that there are no other life forms in the entire universe and that it so happens that our tiny spec of a planet in the entire universe is the only place with living beings on it? BITCH PLEASE!

I believe in aliens. Like what InsertUniqueUserName said: 70 sextillion stars that we know of. There could be more. Each star has it's own solar system. It would be crazy not to believe there's life out there somewhere.

Personally, I believe some aliens have already visited Earth. I think the government knows and is trying to hide it because they don't want to create panic among us. There's definitely something going on.

A belief in aliens does not contradict your belief in God.
The numbers are too staggering for the billions of galaxies & billions of stars, there is life & you'd have to be ignorant to not think otherwise.

It would be stupid and illogical not to believe that there is not another intelligent biological entity in the vast universe we live in.

Whether they visit us humans on planet earth or not? That's more up for debate I suppose.

yes, its arrogant and ignorant to believe humans are the only thing in the whole entire universe, of course there has to be something else

I agree but who knows which ones are closer to truth then others its hard to determine, I would never say I'm right but just want people to think about other possibillities, instead of just saying well this person or book told me this so this is what I believe.

One of my theories is that aliens are humans from the future traveling back to warn us or tell us about the future. Another is that aliens actually live on this planet but have been living underground for thousands of years, and because of the surface bacteria they can not just come out and live up here they have to be just as careful with us as we are with them

  • Well there is a possibility that there is some form of life on another planet...
Like the universe is MASSIVE! Words can't describe how big it is...
So to say that all of us on earth are the only living mechanism out of the whole universe would be a big understatement.

Im Christian and I still believe in aliens, but not as another life form but demons who are trying to distract you from the truth about God. America is doing their best to keep people from finding the truth like taking out Yeshua from the public schools and teaching about evolution instead. I believe the world is only less than 6000 years old.
