Is it normal to believe horses to be evil?

While I have no hatred or fear of any animal I have a friend who really hates horses. He seriously believes they are evil, dirty, vile animals.I find this very odd for one I can't see what would be evil about a horse it's not like they'd go out of their way to attack someone if they do it's mainly out of defense and in fact I believe that if any animal deserves honor it'd be the horse since they've had to give up their freedom in the wild to carry us lazy humans before the car was invented, without the horse well we probably wouldn't have gotten as far as we have as a species but yeah back to my friend.

Another thing I find odd about my friend's extreme dislike of horses is that he has never come into contact with any horse so he doesn't even have a personal experience to back this up. I could understand if he had been around a horse and maybe fell off, got kicked, or bitten by one but he's never in fact seen touched or even seen a real horse in all his life!

But yet he can't even stand to see them on TV or even see the horse in my poster! Is it normal to feel such resentment towards horses even if he's never been around one?

    Lol your friend sounds awesome, if I were you I would put a horse in his house somewhere unexpected and video tape the whole thing

    No, it's not normal. It'd be normal if he just wanted to avoid being around horses, but if he freaks out over seeing one on television or on a poster? Not so much.

    I have a horse of my own, I love him, he is big, he shits but so do you, and he is defiantly NOT evil.

    I use to do horseback riding and I was always having the oldest horse... well once, that horse bite my belly I think because he thought it was an apple (use to give him lots of apples)

    try to support your friend through this because there might be something that has happend to them to trigger this. maybe eventually get them to pat a horse and make a friendship. just try to make a trust between them and DO NOT under any circumstances let any one tease them about them and definatly dont do it yourself

    we are on the same boat. so i think it's pretty normal. i think he must be have some kind of trauma even tough there is no physical contact.

      If it is the truth that we used to live before ( had past lives), even though we do not actually remember; then it can explain such unusual feelings. I mean, that before people used to ride horses on a regular basis and sometimes people were killed after had fallen off a horse. It is not that every time it is a horse's fault ( and it is not that they were doing it on purpose , still, some people might started hating a certain horse or horses in general ( even though it is rather an irrational things to do).

      I love horses too. My favourite T-shirts with horses. Hard to find other things with beautiful horses but Ahartboutique.com seems to have the widest variety of things for home with my favourite breed ( Arabian) and other fantasy horses kind of.
      I never heard of people before who hate horses - they are so beautiful and it is such a pleasure to ride them !
