God made you in his image, so if you turn out gay God wanted you to be gay. Just remember the bible throughout history was edited by governments and people interested in controlling the thoughts and lives of others. Be yourself, love life, and worship god as you see fit in your life. It's all a matter of interpretation, just because a person depicted in the bible says homosexuality is wrong doesn't mean that god said it himself.
I guess the bible does not say that being gay is wrong... I believe there are many passages that are not against being gay!
I was reading your profile page.
The first song is one of my least favourite songs ever. The second song is one of my favourite songs ever. I find it interesting that you like both of them.
Yes, it's totally okay to believe in/love God and be gay/bi. Even if it does go against nature, God loves everybody no matter what. I have a gay friend who is a Christian. And I'm Catholic, and even though I'm straight I support gay rights.
Believing in God is not being saved and having a personal relationship with Him.
Even demons 'believe' in God and they shudder.
If you like to suck a cock go ahead.
If you like to eat a cunt go ahead.
hey !! im christian too and so is my family and i have always really wanted a gay guy friend so bad we shld talk !! :D
Totally normal. My church has little kids making pictures that say "Gay is okay" in Sunday school, religion isn't always as intolerant as you might think.
First of all, there are lots of gay people who believe in God. There are a lot of churches who are really supportive of gay people as well, but as I understand it those wouldn't fit in with what your family says and preaches.
I don't know. In those traditional churches against homosexuality, I don't think they believe that God hates gay people, just that having sex with someone of your same sex is a sin. (Even if the way they talk about gay people comes out differently.) But just like all the other sins (sex before marriage comes quickly to mind) if you do it and repent you can be saved. And it's not being attracted to your same sex that they think is bad, it's acting on that attraction. So you could stay in that church, but it would involve constantly fighting against something that is a part of you, something that isn't hurting anyone... And constantly hating that part of you. And I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
I hope you can find someone to talk to. Check out your school's LGBT groups, you might not be able to find someone from a similar religious background there, but I'm sure there will have counselors who can understand where you're coming from. Or maybe find a pastor from a more progressive church? That doesn't mean you want to join it, but he or she might be able to help, and you might not want to talk to someone in your own church until you're ready to come out.
Good luck.
I don't believe in a god but I do believe religion doesn't have anything to do with your sexuality.
Think of it this way....if god made you in his image, then its highly likely that at some point, maybe when god was in college at Celestial University, he did quite a bit of experimenting. Maybe hes even up in heaven right now with a muscle shirt and short shorts doing a Rock Band party with all his buddies in preparation for the massive guy-angel-guy orgy.
There are many religious people who don't have a problem with gays. It depends on your interpretation I suppose.
Any family that rejects someone for being honest about their sexuality reveals the lie of their so called 'family values'.
Never rely on anyone else to tell you what the nature of 'God' is, or what the nature of your own spiritual standing is.
Look inside yourself for those answers. They're the only ones that ultimately matter. :)
You can't help being gay, straight or lesbian, bi/bi-curious, pan-sexual, metro-sexual. You are born that way. But this ''god'' you speak of isn't real. Its made up.
