Is it normal to believe in god, but doubt him at times?

I'm going to start by saying I am classified as a christian. I trust "the lord" and truly feel disrespectful about this but I sometimes don't think he is seriously real(After all there isn't any proof). Please tell me what you think about this topic...

Ang, if any relgion's 'god' is real, we're all going to hell.
Look at the mess we've made; you think you'll be welcomed with praise?

It is totally not normal to have invisible friends who determine your choices in life.. The doubts are normal but the notion of a god is just plain freaky.

It's not a big deal. I'm religious also but at times I question the validity. Just my mind playing games. But I do have faith in the Lord.

@curiouserandcuriouser the god delusion is an amazing book. You'd probably enjoy god is not great by Christopher hitchens

I'm a Christian but I doubt things that the bible say almost every day...I feel like I'm living by Gods rules but, I don't like living by any rules other than my own. Even God doesn't judge us I feel like he does...but, I have my whole life to figure out what my religion should be for right now I'll do what I please.

Why shouldn't you believe in the LORD? If he's real, then awesome! If he's not, what did you lose?

  • I've dabbled in religion. I went from an atheist to christian and finally a borderline satanist. I believe that since humans cause most of the world problems that they must have been the creation of lucipher. I mean think about it. God made man in his own image, yet why are we flawed? The only counterargument that I can find is this. Why does god stand by and watch others suffer? Well it's because he probably wants to see the human race show compassion and band together to save a cause. That's probably why people are starving out their, because God wants us to show compassion and he's probably just full of hope that someday humans will be a proud race that helps out it's fellow man. Sadly we're not.

Are you sure you're a Christian? You didn't capitalize god and the lord.
Maybe you should have a word with your priest or you could read the "God delusion" to get a second opinion.
