OCD is apparently a condition that exists with people with low intelligence. Is it normal because I suffer from OCD, to feel stupid?
It also exists in people with high and average intelligence. So you can't really draw any conclusions from that. I really don't think there's a link between the two. So, don't feel stupid for that reason.
Having Obsessive Compulsive disorder doesn't make you stupid or unintelligent, but it does make it harder for you to get things done.
My sister OCD, but hasn't been officially diagnosed, nor has she done anything to help herself either. I would say my sister is very intelligent as she has a degree and has worked behind the scenes at a Las Vegas show, and also ran a small modeling agency. I do think her OCD has gotten worse in the past ten years though. Her doctor has prescribed Xanax for her, but she doesn't take it, and prefers to drink wine and vodka instead.
More than anything I find her OCD to be extremely annoying. She's a germaphobe and a neat freak. She has a lot of stupid rituals about the way she does things.
