Is it normal to bite your cat?

I have a one year old persian cat. I'm not really a cat or animal lover. I originally bought it for my gf , while she was living with me, then I got attached to it, we broke up, and the cat remained. It's such cool cat, and he kinda chases me through the house sometimes, jumping on me or biting me but not really hard , just playing. And once , while it was chasing me, i stopped, grabbed it, and though i give it a taste of it's own medicine, so i bit it's back a little bit. It wasn't gross or anything because it's a very clean cat, and it doesn't go outside. This didn't seem to bother it, and lately i've been doing it more and more when we play. So what do you guys think? Should i just play normally, or act like a cat :) ? and don't give me any of that zoophilia bs...cuz it's nothing like that. :))

Biting is often one aspect of the feline mating ritual.

Kitty likely likes you if it is receptive to your nibbles.

Fangs and claws will inform you if kitty has decided you are merely a tease.

it's just one way you've found to play with your cat, here's a tip by the way, they have loose skin on the back of their necks (nape), since they are carried by this loose skin by their parents you may be able to calm down a cat by grabbing (gently) here, try massaging it too, animals are like humans in some ways and all of the mare different.
