Is it normal to blink with your eyes shut?

As any othrer normal person, I blik. But for some reason I blik even when my eyes are shut. I sometimes think, that there wouldn't be a reason to blink with my eyes shut, as there is no way, I could ever get something in my eyes, when my eyes are shut. My eyes should also stay hydrated, when my eyes are shut, right? I would just really like to know, why this is a thing, and if it's like this for other people than me. So my question is. Is it normal to blink with your eyes closed?

I get what you mean. I do it too. It's not that you open your eyes and shut them again... but that you flex the same muscles in your eyes the way you do when you blink as if you are blinking. But with your eyes closed. Am I right? If so, It's just a habit. It's your brain telling you that it's "normal to blink now..." So you do it unconsciously.

Why don't you ask Blink 182? They must know everything about blinking.

Blinking is when you momentarily close your eyes and reopen them. But you mean your eyes are already closed, so you momentarily open them and then reclose them? Right?
Technically I don't think that's blinking, so on that basis I move for an immediate dismissal.
