Is it normal to browse for gore content?

Hello. I'm just wondering what is your position when it comes to gore content. Gore is every kind of content (mostly graphic) that may be disturbing for most people. For example, videos or pictures of executions (i.e, beheading), weird medical conditions, results of accidents (i.e, car accidents), people doing crazy/dangerous things, disturbing war footage, suicide attempts (accomplished or failed), and others. I've been watching gore regularly since the last year and I find it really fascinating. You can find gore in movies, comics, or even in the news. I don't feel sexually attracted to any kind of this content. Please share your thoughts.

    A few months ago I was curious about the ISIS beheadings and wanted to see the video to know what the fuss was about.

    I didnt find the answer to that but what I stumbled upon instead was a site with real life graphic videos. One of the videos was a recording of a torture/mutilation of an innocent person. It was awful. I dont freak out at gorey stuff, but just the fact that someone was visibly (in the video) fascinated in torturing another person like that. I already have little faith in people and that video sunk me to a new low.

    I've seen all that stuff and it no longer interests me but I think it made it so I would be able to handle it better in real life now that I know what it looks like and have seen it all on a screen.

    A few years ago I went through a faze where I found gore videos very interesting and watched all kinds of fucked up stuff just because I could. I found that it had somewhat effected me unintentionally and I acted very hateful around that time and somewhat psychopathic. I don't recommend making a hobby out of it because it can put someone in a very dark place.

    Every now and then I kind of get the urge to see the worst the world has to offer. So yeah.

    I don't think satisfying my morbid curiosity has benefited me, though. Some of the videos I've seen will probably stay with me for the rest of my life - they are horrifying.

    I never really watch it, but i don't see anything wrong with looking at it out of curiosity. However, i consider the people who are turned on by it to be sort of sub-human... i understand it's a fetish and people can't help what they take sexual attraction to... but freakin' mutilation?!?

    I used to frequent sites like rotten.com when I was much younger. Found some fucked up shit. I don't really recommend it...

      Ah I remember Rotten!

      The 'naughty' kids at my primary school used to sneak around the weak parental filter on the computers to go on it - then tell everybody to look at the gross pictures. Meanwhile, the rest of us were on Miniclip playing some platform game.

    It's a line I don't want to cross. Hearing you guys talking about it is making me slightly curious esp as I thought it was extremely immoral but people are acting like its not a big deal to see what its about. Still I'd rather not. Although am curious now about the 2 girls 1 cup. Theres some other things I'm curious about actually but they are sick and may be illegal to watch, not sure.

      Hello. Well, I forgot to say that many gore wepages also are home to some wicked paraphilia videos. You know, Like 2 girls 1 cup, girls having sex with an octopus, people peeing in their mouths, etc... Personally, I used to watch that kind of stuff but I don't find it interesting anymore. I prefer to watch the real gore.
