Is it normal to calculate the number of pages left when reading?

I do this (almost) all the time. Whenever I turn a page, I'd mentally calculate how many pages left and think something like "yay. I've read 2/3 of this book!" Am I the only one who does this?

Sometimes I go to the back of the book and read the last couple of pages before I even start reading it.

I wouldn't exactly say "calculate" for me, but I am sometimes very aware of where I am (in terms of pages read versus approximate pages left to read) when reading a book. For example, I often notice where plot points happen in a book relative to the book size, especially when the climax of the story is near the end of the book and I think "there's no way there are enough pages left in this book for a decent resolution."
