Is it normal to check behind the shower curtain for murderers?

Every time I go into the bathroom, I feel compelled to check for people hiding there. I even go so far as to bring a knife with me.

    I dont know so much about the knife...but, since many horror movies have killers leap out from behind shower curtains, I'd say it's a pretty normal fear haha

    once I opened the curtain and there were 3 black guys in there just having a shower...awkward

    I always make sure to check. Don't want to get stabbed, and maybe the person behind the shower is just a nice stalker. So I always keep that in mind if I were to ever see someone there.
