Is it normal to choose a website builder to build a website

That's really a special experience to build my own website. but majority of my friends said that there was no need to pay money for help. such as finding a website builder.i thought it was needed to call for help if u are not an expert in website building. moreover, it doesn't cost much, since all service from the website builder called Bluelikethat is on sale. then do you still fell it is not normal, or should i, a newbie in building website, do it by myself?

    I say most "noobs" or newbies tend to use website builders. If you do this your site will look just like any other site and chances are you will not be able to have a website the way you want it. I'd recomend starting out with making a HTML website in notepad and work up from there. (YouTube has some good tutorials)

    I was doing this same thing. I made the stuff in notepad but not sure how to translate it. If you can I would find computer nerd friends who are not yet professionals since they usually like helping.

    We didn't ask what kind of website this person was building...like, do you want to sell unique items in bulk? do you want to update a status daily? Do you want to stream media? If you're just blogging then by all means use the crappy free software on the internet and stick with HTML...if you're coding for CSS feeds, XML, etc...hire someone.

    But here's the thing about hiring someone...try to hire someone you can meet face to face. Go down to your community college and post an ad on the bulletin boards near wherever the IT classes are. Surf craigslist for web developers looking for work. I assure you, even if you have to pay a little more, it'll be worth it knowing you can knock on their door and yell at them for a job poorly done (or on the flipside, buy them a drink).

    It's so much easier and will look a lot better if you do :) use tumblr or wordpress and just choose a theme. I know it feels like you're cheating but so many sites do it you would be suprised

    Check out tutorials by EdzJohnson on YouTube. It is really easy to learn even if you are new to proggraming.

    Thanks for your advice, which i feel nice and great. but does it need some basic knowledge about HTML? if it does, it is also a puzzler for me.
