Is it normal to close drawers with your hips?

After taking stuff out of a drawer, is it normal to close the drawer with another part of your body than your hands, e.g. hips if the drawer is located at that height? Would this be considered bad manners?

I do this all the time. My feet/legs come into play when possible. I do this at work a lot as it saves time sometime.

cook. always closing fridge and/or freezer doors with stuff in my hands. Grab something in the fridge and then have to close it with my hands full.

There's kicking the door leading outside open to when I am carrying a heavy garbage bag, lol

Slightly bad manners in someone else's house. Can't see it makes much odds in your own. I close things with shoulders, elbows, hips, my rumpity rump, even my nose. It's a game to me.

  • I forgot to add that this can become a habit even when the hands are free. Eventually, other household members will copy this and everyone does it for no good reason.
