Is it normal to connect the smell of swimming pools with hunger?

Not like its appetizing, but its like chlorine water is the smell representation of hunger and can actually either cause you to feel hungry (may be countered if you have very recently eaten) or make hunger feeling worse. Its not logical, but I feel its true nevertheless

Makes sense. I used to go swimming a lot and was always starving afterwards.

Swimming's a good workout. Makes sense that after working up an appetite you'd associate the smell with hunger

The smell always makes me think of someone's Band-Aid stuck on a drain cover.
