I know most of you wont give a shit about this post and think I'm a loser (you'd be right). But there are some actually nice, fun people still left here from when it was good. it's sad as hell to see this place going under and at some point they'll all be gone and i'll never meet anyone in my life as cool as some of the people I've talked to here. is it normal

You're not crying over the site, you're crying over the loss of your social circle and friends. That's completely understandable.
Honestly, this place is kind of a trash heap now. I used to be here everyday just commenting on stuff and messaging good people. Now it seems like most of those people are gone. I was actually going to leave without a trace last summer, but after getting some really good advice from awesome people, I stuck around. I'm still hoping this place gets better.
I'm not on it nearly as much as I used to be. Leaving the site slowly creeps up on you to the point you don't even notice that you're hardly on the site anymore. :(

how the hell do you know that? everything in life is transient, you may not know anybody cooler than those online at the moment, but people come and go in life and along the way you meet all types. It seems like a ridiculous statement to me, I'm sorry, like you've muted your scope or are only focusing on the present and projecting the present into your vision of the future. Don't do that, continue to experience life, get out and get amongst it, be open to meet new people and all the time. Life is what you make it.
That's a good point, actually I have met some pretty cool people irl but I usually end up losing them cuz I find it too difficult to socialize:( I'm working on it tho. I guess i need to be more patient til the right people come along. Thanks for the optimism♥️

Nah, just work, new place, having to look after my little brother, broke it off with my GF, her saying she's gonna commit suicide and self harming due to it so I have to try and make sure she's ok before moving on or she may get worse, this other girl laying in to me to try be with me, a family friend trying to get with me, family taing 500 off of me without my knowledge while I'm trying to keep my little bro fed, and all that jazz aswell as a ton of other stuff. Life's being a bit too much for me right now and I need to tke a step back. Haha.
And hey, fuck you with the safe place talk...What you think IIN is, a safe space in Toronto campuses?! Hehe. :3
Haha i actually made a post a while ago when i was on the site all day every day and kik'ing and messaging different user about how i didn't know what i'd do without the site and i sure as hell miss how the site was back then and how i was on the site back then but i kind of felt like i've dealt with and accepted it already but yeah i'd say normal, normal for IIN anyway ;)
you are one of the classic users I had in mind when posting this. hlad to see you around again but I understand most of you guys are moving on, I would like to as well but it's hard when I have nothing to replace it :(

There was a period where I was kinda getting my shit together, got in a relationship, looked like I was starting a dream career and I drifted from this place but I felt the need to come back still, so for me I don't think it's so much about moving on as it is about how the site has been recently.
It doesn't feel like the same place, and it doesn't feel like I'm an iiner anymore at first I thought it was all on me but i've seen others say the same
Then again I've just realized how many times I've checked in recently and I've just spent the entire walk back from a mate's thinking about my time on iin and different users so maybe I'm not done or over it after all.
Hell that's why iin's unofficial theme song is hotel California, " you can check out any time you like but you can never leave"
I only joined this site a few months ago, mostly because I found the trolling to be quite entertaining. I've had very little conversations with any of the people here, and I never really wanted to. Maybe I joined at a strange time. I think there will always be your gypsysailor and whoever elses... They're still out there. Look at all the buzz generated from your post...
I joined this site years ago, as handsignals, and people have always been saying "this sites changed maaannn" "site;s going down hill" but people keep coming back because the sexual tension between me and Roseisabella keeps it interesting.
I guess it's normal if you feel so deeply about this site and have had such a great experience with it.

I wouldn't take this place that seriously it shouldn't affect you to the point of crying.
I don't think it's normal for this website to make you cry, but I wasn't around when it was good since it's never been good while I've been here so who knows?
