Is it normal to cry when eating?

I sometimes cry involuntarily when I eat on my own, especially if the food is really nice and I've taken time to prepare it. This doesn't happen a lot and sometimes it comes in spates then disappears. It is almost like a reaction to something I feel but can't put my finger on it. Does anyone else do this. I do finish my meal but wondered if anyone else gets this involuntary feeling to cry?

To date, I've only cried on the inside, with the exception of hot/spicy food that made my eyes water.

I think its both joy and the sadness in that there isn't anyone to share it, I only get this when I am on my own. Luckily I am pregnant now so I have someone to care for and cook for, maybe this is my nuturing instinct finally being put to use, let's see if the crying stops! It is all extremely deep seated and doesn't happen alot, it really is involuntary.

    Thanks for your comments.
