Is it normal to cut off your best friends who bully you?

My friends pick on me and bully and call me horrible gay slurs, like queer, f**, ect all the time. Because I dont have a girlfriend but I am straight.

I have cut them off and spend time with other groups of people.
Is it normal to cut friends off like this?

    It depends how they're coming at you. Ive called my friends gay before just messing with them. If its coming off like bullying hang out with someone else.

    They don't sound like real friends at all. It's good that you cut them off, OP. Your so called best friends sound a lot like a bunch of mean, ignorant jerks to me. I bet their pretty stupid, and ignorant, huh?

    Tell them how you want to be treated and if they can handle it find people who can. You might be lonely for a little while but in the end, you will respect yourself and not need therapy.
