Is it normal to desperately want to have magic?

So I have had a lot longing to be able to do magic, and I mean real magic (Though thats kind of an oxymoron), like in movies and books. I know it isn't real, but I really want to see the worlds of the books I read, to be able to transform, or teleport, or fly. I'm kind of depressed over it, and it's kind of an obsession for me. In my opinion, there's nothing worse than knowing that the thing you most want doesn't exist in any real place, except dreams, and even then, it's just a mere shadow of what I desire. So anyway, anyone else feel that way, or am I one in a billion?

Magic is real. It is just poorly defined and often misunderstood.

It's a working definition:The use of intent and personal energy to manifest a desired outcome.

  • I think some sort of magic actually does exist: not like in Harry Potter, but the kind that was shown in Rosemary's Baby or The Serpent and the Rainbow for example. And even if it doesn't work, there are people out there performing these rituals.

You must be familiar with the writings of Carlos Castaneda and Richard Bach?

I feel the exact same way, plus I like Pokemon and wish they were real, but the world would be a really dangerous place if magical monsters and stuff existed, and bad people will use them to kill and rob banks and crap.
