Is it normal to despise all religions?

I do believe in a sublime entity or force, whatever you want to call it, but I find religion to be the root of all evil and ignorance.

Normal. It upsets me when people believe that being religious will make them a better person. You should live the life you like because you want to be that way. Not because of belief in a higher power or fear of eternal damnation.

100% with you man... caused more wars fights and arguments than anything ever. Can't actually think of a single war caused by anything other than religion. Totally ridiculous. The world is changing though, many years ago some people thought the world was on a turtles back. Then it was flat. Now its round. I don't think peoples beliefs changed overnight about that, and remember just a few hundred years ago us "non believers" would have been killed, so we're on the right path to abolishing religion once and for all.

I feel that way for the most part. The more irrational it is, the more I hate it. Of all the religions I know about, I hate Buddhism the least because it's atheistic.

Personally I think even if their wasn't religion the same things would happen, because of humans being...human. Religion just gives people excuses.

One day people will live above the evil clutches of religion. That will mark a new era of amazing cooperation and progress for us humans. Can you imagine the possibilities? If only I could live long enough to see that day come.

All religion is a little fairy story that people tell themselves because they can't accept that our lives have no meaning other than the meaning we give them and that in the end we are all worm food. It's also a rather successful form of social control. Any intelligent person should uniformly reject all religion. So dude not only are you normal you are ahead of the game.

Perhaps not all evil and ignorance, but quite a lot of it. All the apparent "good" derived from it is either wishful thinking or could be done without belief in a man in the sky. But the bad done in the name of gods far outweighs the good.

Some people need religion so that they feel at one with something. A belonging with the same people who believe. Me, I think religion seperates us. Divides us. Which starts wars over people and property. I'm spiritual. Not religious. Man came up with religion. Not God.
