Is it normal to dislike cellphones?

Don't get me wrong, they're very handy and great thing to have. But I very much dislike the way they're used. Phones are for talking and maybe a text here and there.
But I find it annoying when people have them out constantly,using them for internet purposes, or using them at inappropriate times like at work or in a movie theater.

Why did phones have to become so technologically advanced?

    I prefer talking to a person rather than seeing words on a screen, much more intimate. I can understand where you're coming from. It sucks but people have become superficial because of all the "advances" we've made as a society due to technology.

    A lot of younger people use them every chance they get to text people they see every day, and I don't understand it myself. I just hate it when I'm talking to someone and they pull out their phone and text someone in the middle of my sentence. I usually just fall silent and drop the thought because I don't feel like trying to tell someone something when they're not even listening...

    Just to let you know it was only this generation that grew up on cell phones, but I'm 35 and most of my life we were talking on corded phones.

    i dislike the fact that ppl can reach me at any given fcking time, i love all rest useful stuff tho.

    So you don't want to use certain features on your phone, then don't use them. You don't get to decide how everyone else uses theirs though.
