Is it normal to dislike cowboy bebop?

I showed my girlfriend the first episode of Cowboy Bebop.
She said she didn't like it. In fact, she said everything about it put her off and made her not want to continue watching it.

Now I'm not sure what to do...
It's one of my favorite anime!

I mean, it's fine if we have different tastes, but... this is such a classic series, it's insane to think she dislikes it that much! And after only one episode! Is that normal?

    Does she not like anime in general, or does she dislike Cowboy Bebop specifically? Maybe she doesn't like jazz. Or Steve Blum.

    I definitely remember the name, I think I saw a little of it way back in the day but wasn't too interested back when Adult Swim was on MTV, like late 90s early 2000s. I remember more of Aeon Flux, the Maxx,, the Head, Aqua teen hunger force, metallocolypse,

    I don’t understand Cowboy Bepop either, it feels very dated, the episodes are formulaic and none of the characters resonated with me. If she’s watching it as an adult she also won’t see it with the nostalgic glow that you do.

    People have different tastes, realistically someone else is only going to like at most 80% of what you do.

    The anime is great. Good soundtrack, western space opera vibe.

    The live action show was made by a woke sjw type moron who ruined everything about it. That actress playing Faye is a next level kook, basically saying fans have to be trolling even though they legitimately hated it.

    Dang I forgot about that show. I watched it when it first came out. I must have been in highschool that was forever ago. The show was kind of cool I liked the jazzy music in the background.

    It's normal. Some TV shows just don't click with people. I like Beastars but my boyfriend doesn't see the appeal. He likes Bleach but I don't see the appeal.
