Is it normal to dislike pizza?

As several comments mention, the operative word in the OP's post is "several brands". That's why they all taste the same, more or less - mass production. In order to get a really good pizza, you have to go to a pizzeria and get a real pizza. An authentic pizza. Doesn't matter much which pizzeria - in Philly or New York City, you can find one on just about every street corner. Then all you have to do is try each one until you find the one you like best. Could be thin crust, could be deep-dish, but you can count on one thing - it's gonna be hand-tossed, and it's gonna be the real deal. And eventually, you'll find the one place that makes it just the way you like it. Personally, I don't think there are more than a handful of good pizzerias west of the Mississippi River. And there are only 3 toppings worth a darn, other than a plain cheese pizza. There's pepperoni, which is the old standby. There's sausage and mushroom, for the more sophisticated palate. And then there's anchovies, my personal favorite specialty pizza topping. Don't judge me until you've tried one. Salty little buggers are still the most expensive topping you'll find at your corner pizzeria - if you can find one that makes 'em. Now I'm gonna leave, because my pizza is here. Mangia!

I used to love pizza but idk if I'm changing or the quality is but lately it rarley satisfies and it's just like why are you a colossal dissapointment?

It's normal, everyone has different tastes when it comes to food!

I prefer a thinner, crispier crust over the thick, bready type, myself, and also don't care for greasy pizza or a lot of cheese on it. I actually can't stand extra cheese on pizza (especially if it's the cheap crap some of the delivery places use), and prefer extra sauce and less cheese. I agree as well that most of the traditional toppings taste similar, but I like many of the more unconventional types, or a good Margherita pizza with fresh basil on it. 😋

I definitely think not all pizza is created equal, either. The delivery style and frozen pizzas are extremely disappointing IMO and I much prefer something from a good, better quality mom & pop place (unfortunately one of my favorites just shut down a few months ago 😭), or homemade.

Sometimes pizza is gross. Sometimes it's pretty tasty. Just like some hamburgers are shitawful, while some places know what they are doing.

I love pizza, but I'm not a fan of that New York style pizza.

Whatever, most people don't care. Its the weird Chicago or New York or Neapolitans that get upset if you don't like their pizza the best. I like what I like and you should too, don't be afraid of what you like or don't

I hate turkey. Thanksgiving food usually grosses me out. No matter how you cook it turkey is always dry.
