Is it normal to do stupid things when you know they are stupid?
Ex: I never saw Nightmare On ElmStreet and I knew it would give me nightmares if I watched it. So what did I do? Watched it. And guess what? I. Got. Nightmares.

I took my head off once then ran around like a chicken without one. It was pretty silly.
It means you are seeking a thrill. Yes people do this all the time. They get pregnant at 14, they get STD, and people do dangerous or scary things for thrill but they do not care. People look for thrill and overlook the cost.
We're human and sometimes deep inside, we know how foolish something is, but we have our reasons for doing it anyway. Hopefully when we get older, we know better and try to really think before we do something stupid. If I had a dollar for every stupid thing I've done, I could take a nice trip to the Islanda for at least 6 months. Now that I'm older, I like to think I know better and would really give it some deep thought before acting on it.
Human Nature. You just gave the example of a movie, but think about unplanned pregnancies, drugs, pollution, war, etc.
Yeah. I knew if I drank a ton of liquor on Friday night, I would feel like shit Saturday morning. Stupid, but whatever. Life is too short to be smart.
Copy right issues right there. Way to take my post as an example. You don't understand my struggle... or the dynamic of that choice.
You sir.
Are a square.
