my friend saved up money to buy a $500 baby doll called a 'reborn'. It looks like a real baby without the baby stuff. She changes it's dipper and clothes. She also treats it like a real child by buying Christmas presents for it and stuff. She told me I shod get one too. I think it's stupid. is it normal for my friend to act this way!?

    How old is she? Those dolls are nice but they're mostly just for decoration. It's weird that she's spending all her money on a doll that's not even alive to enjoy the presents. If she's practicing for parenthood, there are other ways to do so, such as babysitting or taking a parenting class...

    I saw a program on this on TV once, people have done it before if their own child died as a baby or whatever. In my opinion its quite sick and twisted when people do it because their own baby died but yeah thats just my thought on the matter. Your friend might want a reality check and start acting her age and not like a kindergarten child.
