Is it normal to dream in another language?

This used to happen to me while I was living in the US, but it has been a long time since I've lived there and last night I dreamt in English.
It was a strange dream, I wouldn't say it was scary, just weird.
It included my ex bf and he was an American of course.
Is it normal to dream in English even now that a lot of time has passed?
English is not my native language,as you can tell.

The beautiful thing about dreams is that they don't have to make sense, or obey the laws of physics. I've dreamt of being able to fly.
