Is it normal to dream like this

I had a dream bout my mother that passed about 3 years ago prcisely. In my dream we lived together but she told us she's going outta town to work for like a week. She officially came back and didn't tell us but instead she'd been somewhere undecent for days. Like right upstairs where we live...and occasionally I saw her and she had a frown face. Tried speaking to her but she never replied.
