Is it normal to dress like this?

I tried buying a brown and navy-striped long-sleeve shirt from H&M in Rundle Mall, hoping that lots of people dress like that, I'm a size M and I wear M with all my clothes, no matter how fat or skinny I am I'm always a size M because naturally I'm a sort of short, reasonably small guy. And I dressed in a beanie with sunglasses, a black T-shirt and a beard and saw someone else dress like that, similar to me, except mine was an atheist T-shirt and a red striped beanie and his was a monochrome black T-shirt and a black beanie and no Buddhist clothes. In fact I dress very average, as average as you can get, dressed in unfancy, plain clothes, yet very different like everyone else, is this normal clothes? I was thinking what normal stands for is the mundane and average.
