A friend of mine said his grandpa said that only alcoholics drink before 4:30pm?? If you drink after 4:30 then you’re OK, you’re not an alcoholic. But if you drink before, that means you’re showing signs of an alcoholic!! Do you agree?? Not sure if I do!!

That's a dumb rule. I can't imagine having to wait 3 hours after waking up to start drinking.
"It's 5 o'clock somewhere" they always say, because internally we all know drinking only starting around 5PM is retarded. I mean, come on, rich white ladies at country clubs are always drinking mimosas at brunch. Whatever you gotta do to survive, just make sure you're taking care of yourself.
What if you have a few beers with lunch on Sunday and then a glass, or two of whiskey as you watch a movie?
Or what if you work a night shift... Buddy of mine drives a van at night and he has a beer, or two before 11AM. For him that's dinner time and then he's off to bed.
Seems like a pretty stupid statement. Everyone is free to enjoy a drink whenever they want. As long as you don't get wasted every day - you're not an alcoholic.
I hate how some people frown upon drinking, but are perfectly fine with smoking. Yeah, cool bro... I can destroy my lungs and give myself cancer as much as I want and that's ok, but drinking... Nah, that means you're a POS drunk and a failure at life. Piss off!!!
I’ve heard that the golden time that makes it accapetable is 5pm. It likely varies by region. I think the idea is that drinking all day is a sign of an alcoholic.
I drink from when I get up to when I go to sleep. I would much rather space my drinks out over the whole day than binge drink within a few hours.
Drink whenever you want as long as you don’t rely on it to get through the day
