Is it normal to drink on your own?

I never drink in excess (I drink one or twice a week). I just like having a drink after work or something, even by myself. Is this normal? Or do I have a drinking problem?

Liver failure is no fun if people aren't around to watch it happen.

Don't be trapped in the 19th century. He can SKYPE his own end stage liver failure for the viewing pleasure of all of us. Kind of fun to what other people darwinate themselves. Wouldn't you agree?

An alcoholic need not drink to excess, only habitually. It doesn't sound like you do either.

Yeah, it's totally fine. My brother drinks a beer or two alone after a long day of work. I do it too... I drink after a stressful day to relax. As long as you aren't drinking to the point of being drunk and you aren't doing it on a daily basis, then you're good.

I love love love to drink alone. The only drinking problem I have is when I run out and the stores won't sell becos its to late. Cheers!

  • Don't make a habit of it. When you do, it can be a slippery slope.

I can control it tbh, I don't feel like I need it. I just really want to after a days work because I felt like I deserved it. If I don't, I wouldn't show withdrawal symptoms or get grumpy 'cause of it.
