Is it normal to enjoy gifting gold memberships anonymously?

When a user stands out as authentic, friendly, and helpful in their comments I spontaneously gift them a Gold membership, anonymously.

It's not as if the Gold membership is a big deal, I just believe it's a way to say "thanks" for being nice and giving your time to help people with their problems.

Giving it anonymously allows me to do this without seeming too creepy since I'm not friends with the users. Truth be told, I'd be embarrassed if they knew it was me.

    That's very nice of you :) It's a kind gesture and it helps support the site. I can see why you'd find it embarrassing, but it's nothing to be embarrassed about :)

    I'm thinking about spreading some Gold around for Christmas.

    Don't feel embarrassed!! I never really felt all that close with the people on this site until recently, even though I know a lot about most of them, just from reading their comments, profiles, etc. and having a good memory for that sort of thing... i feel kind of like a creeper for it too hah. because most of them don't seem to know me. but i have a few guesses as to who you are (assuming you are the one who gave me gold x)<3

    Somebody gave it to me, and it was the nicest toastiest thing ever in the whole world and I felt so special and I want to thank that person so much because it was such a nice thing to do. But I didn't deserve it, and have been a it of a twat on here since, at least I can repay it to someone else (cos it felt so good!) Like opium raspberry cheesecake.

    Sure. I've done it for a bunch of people, some anonymous and some not. I'm just so damn nice. Its also been gifted to me by a few people nonanonymously. They're just so damn nice.
