Is it normal to enjoy hanging out in the emergency room?

Recently the truck stop I normally hang out at was having construction done. During this period they temporarily closed my hangout areas. One late night I was driving around looking for a place to hang out and I decided to check out my local Emergency Room. I found that I really liked it! It was nice, had TV's and there were a lot of interesting things to see and people to talk to. They had some great snack machines but the food is much better at the truck stop. Now that construction is done at the truck stop I'm thinking of splitting my time hanging out at both. Is it normal to enjoy hanging out at my local emergency room? I do make sure to never take up a needed seat.

    I enjoy being in the ER room too. I love any excuse to go there, like if I'm feel sick or if someone is going to go in, I love to go in with them. So even when I'm sick, I enjoy the experience of being there, even if it takes hours to be seen.

    It's so interesting.

          I haven't seen any peculiar activity at the emergency room as I have at the truck stop. So I'd say no. As I said before I believe truckers can get lonely. Life on the road is tough.

    I'm sure you can make some nice friends and the toilets do tend to be far cleaner than what you may find at a truck stop. Years ago I made the unfortunate mistake of eating Mexican food and then embarking on a multi-hour trip and I had to stop at a truck stop to go dookie. It was an unpleasant experience as someone had made a #2 on the seat in my stall. I had to cover the seat with about 15 layers of toilet paper to protect myself, which was no fun at all!

    I've used hospital bathrooms a couple times and noticed that they tend to be much cleaner!

    LOL! I love to be in emergency rooms. My reason? I had to do observational surveys once, when I started classes to put myself into the medical field. For me? I just like ER's. Once I got behind the scenes, I was in love with this entire world. I'm guessing you just enjoy the ER waiting room? Some have WiFi, and anyone can go to the in-house cafeterias that most hospitals have. So, why not? If you're not in the way. I see no problem with this.
