Is it normal to enjoy sleeping surrounded by my own filth?

I feel as if a clean, or bare bedroom, is lonely and hospital-like. I sometimes intentionally wait a whole month without cleaning up my room. All the clutter makes me feel less lonely. And slightly warmer when I sleep.

My room is currently a mess, it's strange I try my best to look good, I think it's because I'm not happy with how I look so I figure I might as well look well kept. And dress well
My room though, it's a state, this happens, I go through depression, I loose motivation to do anything, sometimes to get out of bed or to tidy my room, the inevitable clutter only proceeds to make me feel worse, I tidy, I feel better. I'm feeling like it's time for a tidy

( unfortunately for my neighbours I can't tidy without music)

The only thing I dislike about a perfectly clean room is how echoey it gets. I hate hearing sounds 10x louder when it's perfectly clean/empty.

Wow, misleading title. Not normal, but not that weird, either.

  • That is pretty disgusting, but that is just my opinion. I am the complete opposite and people think i am weird for making my bed at home.
