Is it normal to examine and smell your own poop?

Ok this will sound weird, but is it normal to wipe and then to look at your poop and sniff it? It sounds so foul and it is very embarrassing. I have not told anyone about it or have asked anyone if they do the same thing. Just wondering if anyone out there does this too.....

    Sniffing? No, but inspecting is a good habit to get into. A lot of ailments can be diagnosed by the colour and texture of your poop.

    I once pooped and it slowly crawled out of the toilet and walked on down the hall. The whole experience was very odd.

    Sure why not? I do to make sure nothing's wrong. If it's red and smells like burnt rubber, that's not normal and I should see a doctor.
