Is it normal to excuse oneself when no one else is around?

So whenever I burp or fart or anything of the sort, I always excuse myself even when I'm the only one in the room. I have done it ever since I was a little one. I guess it just stuck even when I'm alone in my room or something. It's almost like an automatic reaction now.
Also, if someone is outside of range but still hears it, at least you excused yourself, right?

is it normal that I do this?

Normal for me. If I bump into something, a wall for example, I usually say "oops" or "excuse me". If I drop something I tend to say "ouch".

Yeah I agree. When a leaf blows past me I say "after you handsome sir". If I smack my TV to get a better picture I say "I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean it, you know I love you". When I use soap in the shower I go "ugh you pervert, get off! Why are all you toiletries watching me? Why is.. my feet, see sound pills more pillszs amnzaprammgahhh"

Seems like a good habit to have, even if it's just cause you don't like your own smells.
