Is it normal to exhibit behavior you really dislike?

This happens to me every now and then. Probably more than I'd like to admit, even...

I sometimes find myself doing the exact same thing that I really hate! If I'm arguing with someone and they take a "low blow" sometimes I do it right back. If I'm playing an online game and someone trash-talks, I'll occasionally trash-talk back. If I'm trying to offer what is (hopefully) helpful advice to is it normal and someone puts up something dumb or inflammatory, I'll start flaming back and belittling them sometimes.

I wish I didn't. I'm always trying to get better at it, but it's not easy. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it normal?

Me too. I find myself judging people more and more, even though the thought of it makes me hate myself. Life is full of contradictions and hypocrisies so I guess there's nothing we can do, I hope not though.

Great response! And also no one is perfect! So don't beat yourself up about it as long as you know its wrong and are trying to stop

  • Yup. I do it. Sometimes you get sick of the bull shit so you give up, and join the bull shit just let out the agression you got from the bull shit. It's just an endless cycle of bulls and shits.

Hey, at least you know you're doing it.
There are many people in the world who do stupid shit all the time that aren't even aware of it and are HONESTLY CONVINCED (I don't even want to say convinced because that implies that they thought about it) that there is absolutely no fallacy in their ways. Pity, right?
