Is it normal to fear not reaching my full potential

Sometimes I feel that I haven't reached my full potential as a human being and I worry that I'm running out of time to do so. I feel that I am capable of doing so but there are those around me that don't believe I can, is this normal?

You have to decide what you want first. Then make a list of REALISTIC goals on how to reach that point, then WORK!! to accomplish them. "Full Potential" is very vague. Anyone can work hard enough to be the best guitarist in the world, but if you would rather be a skipping rocks champion at the lake, then why would you want to pick up a guitar, make sense? Don't over think it though!

And the only persons happiness that matters in the outcome of your goals is yours, it's your life not thiers, so forget what they say. Some may care about you and only want what's best for you, but it takes a lot of wisdom to know the difference between nagging, and accepting ones advice.
