Is it normal to feel addicted to technology?
I'm completely reliant on technology. I feel utterly dependant on the internet, music and entertainment. The first thing I do before I wake, before I even get dressed and clean myself and eat, is sit on my computer. Sometimes it can be as long as 3 hours before I even wash, get dressed and eat. Whenever I'm not at my computer, I'm using my iPhone. When I'm out, I have to listen to music on my phone too. The only time I don't feel dependant on technology is when I'm out with friends.
I can't help but only use technology for entertainment purposes all the time. I can barely even go to the toilet without bringing my phone into the bathroom with me to check facebook or read the news. I know I've heard of a lot of people who do that, I feel that I'm becoming too dependant on it for my personal enjoyment. I become so engrossed in what I am doing that I often forget that I am actually hungry. When I stop, I realise I have actually missed lunch, or turned up two hours late for dinner. I'm loosing a lot of weight when I should be GAINING it. I'm already underweight as it is, and I feel it's this addiction in my lifestyle which is actually beginning to harm me.
