Is it normal to feel chills when hearing the sound of scraping metal?
I dislike the sound of scraping metal so much. My body starts to shiver whenever I hear it. It is as comparable to the sound of scratching the blackboard.

Every time I hear that my teeth feel like they're being rubed against a nail filer.
I hate it so much that sometimes I can't even pick up my fork or spoon before dropping it because I get that feeling allover again
when someone has a rake and they scrape it on their driveway,i wait for two seconts then i tell my neighbor that ARE U SO WEAK U CANT LIFT THAT THING UP!?!
Has anything bad ever happened to you when hearing that sound in the past?
I have the added bonus of mild gustatory-aural synethesia, where I can taste the sound of metal in addition to hearing it.
It's been difficult to explain to people why I say "that sound tastes bad, please stop!" - but yeah, there it is.

Same as bails on a chalkboard. It's like you can feel it throughout your body, it's horrible.
I have a theory that we're not evolved to deal with these sounds because metalworking and blackboards are very recent developments in the advance of our species.
