Is it normal to feel left out in conversations in church

a lot of times when I'm talking to some one (or a group of people) I feel left out. I feel like I can't find any thing interesting to talk about.and sometimes when I do some one interrupts.
I realise that allot of people don't care what other people think. but there's also the fact that some
people are not so easy to talk to. I don't know if this is normal.

  • If you can't talk, then listen and ask questions about people. People love to talk about themselves.

so true! i do this a lot with people at work. just ask a simple question or two about whatever it is they're blabbing sbout. it's gives them more fuel to keep going. they'll eat it right up!

Normal, but..... some people do love to talk about themselves alot - so keep this in mind, when you say something a lot of the time people arent actually listenting to what your saying, they are just planning on what they are gonna say next.

Talk about the time you had a one-on-one with Jesus.

OR don't go to church because it's a waste of time. Watch the documentary "Religulous". Funny shit man.

Why I don't go to church. Makes me feel like an idiot. I just sit in the corner buying candy and hope no one calls me to read since reading a bible is not as simple to read as a regular novel. I hate how they format these things. Its ridiculous. I hope I don't go to hell if there is one for not going but its just so Awkward. Im also mischievous and a deviant. So I feel like Im going to lite up in flames every time I go. Not a horrible person but I really don't think I deserve heaven the way I am.

So normal, happens everywhere to everyone. I am sorry, I hope you find something you want to talk about with them and when you do talk, make sure, kindly, that no one interrupts you. That is just so rude.

It's sad how much into the world churches have gotten. The Bible says, Revelation 3:16 "So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth." This is how these christians are they don't have as much enthusiasm as the disciples did who got killed for Jesus. Who knows? Maybe it will take a rapture for them to see.

I'm sorry to say this but just be careful how long you are actually talking for. One or two sentences is enough to add to the conversation but I get dragged to lunch with my sister and a crowd of her boring friends. They all love to talk about themselves and one girl in particular is soooo boring coz it can take her half an hour to tell us how she left a room :o/

God forgive me, but I have to interrupt her in order to let someone else speak.

Not very Christian of your pals though!
