Isn’t that an actual mental disorder? There was a woman like that who got her therapist to blind her by putting drain cleaner in her eyes.
Thats clearly not normal. Most blind people would give up anything to be able to see.
I understand that blind people would give up anything to see and I obviously didn't have the intention of insulting anyone. My point is this is a thing I feel, its not something I control and i'm genuinely curious to see if anyone else goes through anything similar and if so how they cope with it. I'm sorry if my post offended you but it's not like i'm purposely choosing to insult blind people.
You dont really want to be blind. Then you need someone to help you 24/7. I am legally blind and it sucks. You would need someone to help with the money you ßpend, your mail you couldnt read, and to cook for you. Pretty much you would need a babysitter all the time. I feel like i am almost a burden on society when i cant see enough to read a menu in a fast food place. Why would you want to be like that, unless you are just a lazy ass person and dont want to do anything to be self sufficient. If thats the case- yes you would be a burden on aociety.
Have you actually tried spending a day or even a couple of hours blindfolded? That might cure you of this obsession.
