Is it normal to feel like youre being watched ?

For as long as I can remember, I've always had this feeling that I'm being watched from a distance. Like someone is watching my every move secretly.. it's very creepy. Lately, I've been feeling like the bathroom isn't safe(even in my home). I always search for a camera, or a hidden spy hole before I use it.. yeah I know it's weird. But is it normal ? Can this just be paranoia ?

Whenever I feel like I'm being watched I just stick my middle finger up in the air!

Very interesting. I don't want to watch you, I just want to watch you give the IRS the finger.

Yeh. Touché to the IRS. After you give them the finger, I'll give them a creepy tax return that makes them squirm.

I'd think after reading the information Snowden leaked, EVERYBODY should KNOW that they ARE being watched, probably even in their bathrooms.

I've actually had this from a young age, it comes and goes, when I was young I refused to use public toilets or ones at restaurants in case of cameras, I'd be doing daily activities and become aware that I may be in the process of being filmed, even in my bedroom, I was aware it was paranoia and that there wouldnt logically be any cameras but that wouldnt take the feeling away,
Went away for years but I went to see father John misty recently and use a cubicle at the venue, then had the nagging feeling of there being a camera again,

Apparently it's surprisingly common, not full on Truman show delusion which is a kind of psychosis but the irrational fear, it's usually however a sign that something may be up, potentially nothing serious but for example I have attention deficit disorder which makes me more prone to anxiety and depression etc, so it may be worth speaking to a gp but don't automatically assume it means something serious, however I also think people are too quick to laboe someone as having a certain disorder so maybe it could be a byproduct of the technologically intimidating and scary world we're in

    • I also refuse public bathrooms and changing rooms for the same reason. I feel like maybe we are being watched, a person can get away with several crimes in a changing room.

I've seen several news stories of people being caught so who knows how many get away...

Do you feel like a human is watching you, or is it an abstract feeling of being watched?
Did you do something (bad/illegal/against the gov) you don't want anyone to know about?
Was there an event in the past where someone made fun of you, that made you extremely sad?
Do you watch too many movies?
Do you have mental illnesses that you're aware of?

Keep in mind that the unconscious mind has more effect on our daily life than our conscious mind.

    It's because of the marijuana:

    schizophreniabulletin.oxfordjournals(dot)org/content/early/2014/07/01/schbul.sbu098.full

Just replace "(dot)" with an actual dot, for the link to work.

I feel the same way. I feel like it's something everyone has. You shouldn't worry about it, I think?

How many water heaters do you have in your house and where are they located? I know it sounds strange, but water heaters can cause certain electromagnetic anomalies that can create the issues you are having. Check it out.

You see that camera pointing at you right now as you're dicking with your mobile device?

I think it's normal to feel like you are being watched because there is so much surveillance technology being used in the public and private sectors. I even think of that when I use the bathroom at somebody else's house. I am a male that nearly always wears pretty panties or thongs and when I'm in the bathroom at somebody else's home I always think "what if there's a hidden camera in here?"
In some homes I wouldn't want them to know that about me. In other homes the thought excites me a little. I wonder under what circumstances would somebody admit to me they had been illegally spying on me and seen what I was wearing?
