Is it normal to feel most alone when with friends?

When I am drunk I always feel most alone with a group of friends. Is it normal or do I need different friends. There is no reason I should feel this way they treat me like everyone else.

    I know exactly what you're talking about. For me it's because they all love hanging out in groups and doing the group thing and I could care less about just being with people. I want to actually spend time with someone one on one that I'm connecting with on a personal level. Not just getting out there to be out there. So I feel crushing loneliness when I'm out on the town with friends and they're all having a good time and I just want to go to someone's house or be alone. Thank god I have friends who know that and allow me to open up to them alone. But it still doesn't completely help.

    Maybe you feel alone because you're drunk.Or maybe you get drunk because you feel alone.I would just stay home and get drunk by myself .If you feel alone when you're with friends then what good are they?
