Is it normal to feel most modern houses have too much windows?
Its nice to have them so you have a light source if the power goes, and have the option to see out. But I feel too much of the wall surface on houses are usually covered in windows. Including my own house. Just one the living room wall I probably have like 3 meters of cohesive windows (that aren't even the only windows in that room) that also cover most of the height. And they are always covered with curtains to the point I sometimes forget there is a window there. Its not needed. I like to have privacy and feel sheltered when at home. Too much is also bad for insulation, both for keeping your house warm during winter (without too much electricity) and cool during summer.
