    Hey there!

Given your situation, this seems pretty much expected!
I had kids at 18, and I knew that I had to grow up then.

    Good luck!

Yes, i have been there too. 19 is FAR from old. Believe me, you will still have plenty of time to do as you wish. Those kids are lucky to have you.

Given the fact that you had to bear your parents responsibilities I'd say it's normal to feel old. You never got to live the teenage experience. If your brothers are old enough to take care of themselves then I suggest trying to call some friends and asking to hang out. Be responsible but try to fun.

It may seem odd but it's normal- my mom took on adult responsibilities (worked 2 jobs, drove, and graduated a year early) at the age of 17 because her family was super poor. My grandma (her mom) a single mom, had to work 2 jobs to support her kids and barely got enough food stamps to feed her kids. My mom hated this life style and "grew up". At 17 she met my dad, married him and had me. So with adult responsibilities comes tiredness, etc.

My situation is a little different in that I have arthritis and have had 2 surgeries, had to make up school work using my non-dominant hand, had to deal with constant pain, doctor's visits, pain medications on top of school and trying to do things normal people can. I've lived with this for 10 years and after doing culinary school with no money and now working with this pain that has turned into fibromyalgia at the age of 21 I "feel old".

Just know that what you did was VERY mature and I'm sure your mom and brothers thank you! :)

You're a kid that had to grow way before your time, so that has given you a more grown-up perspective about life. Don't worry, you're still young and have plenty of time do all the things you want.

I feel like this, too. I'm not very old either, but I've felt really old (and sometimes a little tired) since I was about 24. I think it's pretty normal.

  • How do you know what someone 30+ plus feels like to begin with to make that assumption lol.

You just want a pat on the back and compliments. Well you can go fuck yourself, i say that not as a troll but a friend.

Don't worry, your time will come to party.

Hopefully, you've learnt a lot from parenting your siblings NOT to have children when you're young, as they tie you down. I was in a similar position to you and didn't have a child until I was 32yo. I escaped the family home at 18yo, made my parents take responsibility and my siblings have all survived. In fact, they don't even remember me parenting them :o(

Anyhow, once I left I never looked back or regretted it for one second!

Good luck. Your future is all ahead of you.

Take a break once in a while, and enjoy life! You sound like an amazing person, but you have to focus on yourself every once in a while too! You deserve it!
