Is it normal to feel sorry for todays generation

Ok so i graduated High school in 2000. I have a younger sibling and i just feel so bad for my sibling. The shows on disney and Teen nick just suck ass now. The music is even worse.

They are stuck in there little box of technology. I mad a simple flip book mad with stick figures and my sibling was so amazed.

Does anyone else feel this way??

The 90's were pivotal in when it came to TV especially to the young demographic. People were experimenting with new shows and things were unique. The time slot was really perfected at this time.

Boy Meets World had the guts to discus sex, puberty, poverty, sexism and adoption. iCarly and Hannah Montana are I didn't get what i want! I hate my elders! Young people rule!

  • And the people the generation before you said the same thing about YOU...all I can say is, Rocko's Modern Life/Ren and Stimpy/Doug ruled, and I haven't really liked any cartoons as much since they stopped airing new ones. The shows of your childhood will always remain "the best."

True to a certain extent though. I tried watching the shows but they are all just so cookie cutter. Its always too drama filled and every damn show followed suite(hannah montana) and has a band now, or some kind of singing. Then all of a sudden the actors are singers and now you have to buy their music.

i guess im a part of this generation, though i was born in 1992, and i feel sorry for this generation, and not just because of the crappy tv or music. The 90s was the best time for cartoons, and people could get away with more then. every one now is so paranoid, that a kid making a slightly sexual prank call ends up on the sex offenders list. *Sigh* the previous generations had al the fun, and an identity.

I hate living in my own generation, I don't like the shows i see on Nickelodeon. The way kids act towards adults is kind of ballsy, the way adults act is if all kids no matter what age r 5. The way the schools make us think we're something special but really were just a pack of dumb kids
