I can somewhat sense if the TV is on. For example, I'll be in my room, then suddenly, I'll be feeling something I can't explain but it tells me that somebody turned on the TV, and a couple of seconds later, there'll be sound coming from it so it did turn on. Am I not the only one experiencing this? You??
I can tell if a CRT television is on, because it emits a high pitched noise even if it's on mute. I don't know if LCD and plasma tvs do it, though.
yeah, i'm the same way. i can leave for a few hours and when i come back, as soon as i walk in i can tell if a tv has been left on even if its upstairs. you know, like if the cable box is off but the tv is on with a black screen. kinda weird, but it's prob just an acute sensitivity to higher frequencies. I also have pretty good hearing so that might have a lot to do with it.
It's not a psychic ability - your hearing is just sensitive enough to notice the sound of the electronic components.
I can tell by the high pitched noise. It is clearly inaudible to many people since some people can't hear it at all. If the noise is barely within my range of hearing sometimes I notice the noise before I know I'm hearing it. Could that be what is happening?
When I was a teenager my dad bought a new TV for the living room that my sister and I rejected because it had a constant high pitched noise that most people couldn't hear, including my dad. We traded it in for a different one.
You are probably just sensitive to electromagnetic smog. I can feel it too.
